Installation & Setup

Locki is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Installation takes less than a minute.

After installing the extension, follow these steps to get started:

Click the Locki icon in your browser toolbar to open the extension.
Create your first Locki Key to start encrypting and decrypting data.
Explore the key management options to customize your setup.
Open any web app with a text field, and use Locki to encrypt/decrypt inline.
Encrypt/decrypt functions are accessible via right-click context menu.

When the encrypted text is sent

The recipient must also have Locki installed to decrypt the message.
They will need access to the same Locki Key used for encryption.
Without the correct key, the encrypted data remains secure and unreadable.

Best Practices

Backup your keys in a secure password manager.
Use strong passwords for exporting keys (12+ characters).
Organize keys by project or team.
Rotate keys periodically for enhanced security.
